MEDICARE/SINGLE-PAYER TYPE HEALTH CARE FOR ALL NOW!
Criminally corrupt politicians are the reason the U.S. is ranked near the bottom of every catagory when ranked next to other modern, industrialized nations. Time for publically funded elections.

lieberman $12.6M, mcconnell $7.8M, baucus $7.7M, cornyn $6.7M, kyl $5.6M, grassley $5.4M,
ensign $5.2M, conrad $5.1M, cantor $4.9M, nelson $4.9M, burr $4.8M, boehner $4.4M, hatch $4.4M,
lincoln $4.1M, vitter $3.9M, carper $3.6M were paid by the Medical Industrial Complex to
kill Health Care Reform. (Source: OpenSecrets.org, Aug 09')

Co-Author Dr. Steffie Woolhandler of a Recent Harvard Study on Annual Deaths of America's Uninsured, says the lack of coverage can be tied to about 45,000 deaths a year in the United States. The only way to affordably cover all Americans is through a Medicare-for-All, Single-Payer System. A Single-Payer System would generate $300-$400 billion in administrative savings annually, enough to cover all of the uninsured, and to plug the gaps in coverage for Americans with only partial coverage. Obviously, Medicare-for-all is anathema to the insurance industry. What politicians are doing is saving insurance industry profits, by sacrificing American lives.

12 Million Americans were denied health care coverage by the Medical Industrial Complex because they had a pre-existing medical condition. 12K Americans are denied insurance coverage everyday by a for-profit Insurance bureaucrat. (Source: WaPo Article 05′ by Harvard Prof. E. Warren)

Medical malpractice lawsuits are a hot topic but, are they? Tort Reform is such a “Red Herring” and is easily disproved. A 2004 report by the Congressional Budget Office said medical malpractice makes up only 2 percent of U.S. health spending. Even “significant reductions” would do little to curb health-care expenses, it concluded.

bush(43) economic speech writer david frum, at least, is willing to admit the idea about selling insurance across state lines is a crock:

New Jersey health policies cost more in large part because New Jersey hospitals and doctors charge more. If I buy a cheaper Kentucky policy that reimburses my providers at Kentucky rates, leaving me to pay the balance, how much good does that do me? And if the Kentucky policy is made to pay New Jersey rates, there vanishes my low Kentucky price.

These are some of the easily refuted arguments bought and paid for by the Medical Industrial Complex to derail any chance of their criminally massive profits being reduced.

Citizens for Tax Justice pointed this out. The tax legislation enacted under President George W. Bush from 2001 through 2006 will cost $2.48 trillion over the 2001-2010 period. This includes the revenue loss of $2.11 trillion that results directly from the cheney/bush tax cuts as well as the $379 billion in additional interest payments on the national debt that we must make since the tax cuts were deficit-financed. Over the upcoming decade (2010-2019), the costs of the health care proposals approved by three committees in the U.S. House of Representatives are projected to be around $1 trillion and deficit neutral(that means they’re paid for). In 2010, when all the cheney/bush tax cuts are finally phased in, a staggering 52.5 percent of the benefits will go to the richest 5 percent of taxpayers. The cheney/bush tax cuts were deficit-financed, which increased the national debt and resulted in greater interest payments on that debt. cheney/bush administration never even tried to pay for their tax-cuts. So, for the price of cheney/bush’s tax-cuts for the wealthiest 5%, we could have had Health Care for every American. Instead Americans got bupkus and cheney/bush’s republican campaign contributors/golf buddies got filthy rich off of the Blood Money from No-Bid, Cost-Plus Federal Contracts.

It is morally repugnant to profit off the misery or ill health of Americans. It's criminal that medical bills to the private for-profit MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX make up 62% of all bankruptcies filed in the U.S. each year. Americans spend 2.5 Trillion Dollars a year on Health care. The overhead at the private for-profit MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX is upwards of 35% of the health care dollar spent each year in the U.S. That is approximately $900 Billion plus a year the MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX uses for BRIBING CONGRESS and their lavish lifestyles, huge salaries plus perks and bonuses. All the while milking the hard-working men/women of this great nation of their hard earned money.

On the other hand MEDICARE has an overhead of 2%, Canada's system is 1.5%, Europe's 2.5% on average. The money that could be saved by eliminating the private for-profit MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX is estimated at over $900 Billion a year. Enough money to help pay for putting all Americans on MEDICARE/SINGLE-PAYER TYPE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM or a STRONG PUBLIC OPTION.

Harvard University researchers interviewed 1,771 Americans in bankruptcy courts across the country, half said that illness or medical bills drove them to bankruptcy. 2 million Americans (those who file and their dependents) face the double disaster of illness and bankruptcy. The big surprise was that three-quarters of the medically bankrupt had health insurance.

How did illness bankrupt middle-class Americans with health insurance? For some, high co-payments, deductibles, exclusions from coverage and other loopholes left them holding the bag for thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket costs when serious illness struck. But even families with Cadillac coverage were often bankrupted by medical problems.

POLITICAL PATRONAGE OVER SUPPORTING THE TROOPS...
Walter Reed is a part of the Department of Defense(DoD) not the Veteran's Administration. The DoD spends over $600 billion a year. So there is no excuse for cutbacks in the health care provided to our wounded troops. Just see where the money goes: Link
This criminally corrupt, republican, cheney/bush administration loves the military industrial complex and couldn't care less about the troops. Don't listen to what they say watch what they do.

This criminally corrupt, republican, cheney/bush administration loves to wrap themselves in the flag and espouse their support for the troops. dick "5 deferments" cheney said that he had "other priorities" then go to Vietnam and fight for his country. george "the draft dodger" bush skipped over 500 less well connected Texans to cut to the head of the line for the "Champagne brigade" of the Texas Air National Guard. Link Where the sons of the rich and powerful of Texas went to fight the communist hordes during the Vietnam War. bush couldn't even fulfill his 6 year obligation to the Air Guard. I wonder how many of today's National Guardsmen/women would love an early out of Iraq to go to Harvard Business School. Today's National Guard gets sent to War without enough of the proper body armor, Army hand me down equipment and extended tours of overseas combat duty. The policies of these criminals instituted by rumsfeld are at the bottom of the atrocities perpetrated against the Men and Women of our Armed Forces at these outpatient facilities. This criminally corrupt, republican, cheney/bush/rumsfeld administration have privatized a lot of the logistic functions that used to be done by the military themselves, in order to give huge no-bid cost plus government contracts to their rich friends and campaign contributors. How's that going you would ask? Well let's see over $10 billion in American money can not be accounted for so far. $9 billion in Iraqi funds are missing from the Coalition Provisional Authority(CPA) under Amb. Paul Bremmer. Link Who was hand picked by cheney/bush/rumsfeld to oversee the largest robbery of the American tax payer in history. These guys make saddam and the oil for food program look like amateurs. The traitor scooter libby was found guilty in 4 out of 5 counts. All the rest of the "traitors in time of war" cheney/bush/rove get off without even a slap on the wrist. I'm sure the presidential pardons are on the way. Why do right-wing neocons hate America so?

cheney/bush/rove...etc should spend the rest of their live in prison at hard labor. They should only be let out to empty bed pans at the local VA hospital.

THEY LIE AND OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS DIE...
Link
It is always nice when you can investigate yourself and find that you can inter-change the word lying with inappropriate. Also it proves the point that this illegal war was conjured up by this criminally corrupt administration. They expressly say that what feith did was authorized.

This is just like the DOJ cooking the books about terrorism cases.Link

You can't trust a thing that comes out of this criminally corrupt administration. It's just like what Huey P Long used to say, "You can tell when they are lying their lips move."

cheney/bush/feith...etc should spend the rest of their lives in prison at hard labor and should only be let out to empty bed pans at the local VA hospital! SEMPER FI!

More secret crap from these so called patriotic repugs Link
These criminally corrupt repugs are like cockroaches they do their dirty deeds in the dark of night and scurry away when the lights are shinned on them.

A fierce cold war warrior Link
Typical draft dodging criminally corrupt repug...

cheney/bush/rowe...etc should spend the rest of their lives in prison at hard labor and should only be let out to empty bedpans at the local VA hospital!
